Andy Harland
Aka ISH, had worked for 10 years as a tree surgeon before turning his skills to sculpture and design. his workshop is based in Suffolk where he works with several other artists.
Seven years ago andy was invited by Chainsaw artist Ben Platts-Mills to help him on a commission and Andy has never looked back. He uses a chainsaw to develop the basic forms of his sculpture and huge tables then sands and polishes to a high end finish.
Creator of wonderful structures using ash and hazel poles including his work shop pictured here centre left. Andy possess a great understanding of wood and how to get the most from each unique piece.
Andy has spent many years traveling and usually once or twice a year can be found in the Himalayas paragliding.
